Shockapps is a web startup based out of Berkeley, CA. Our plan is to make casual games that work within social networks and utilize the unique and exciting possibilities of combining entertainment and social experiences.

We are currently hard at work on what we hope will soon become our flagship product. Can’t tell you the name yet, but check back in early January for the big news.

So, it’s with some sadness that I say we are delaying our launch date.  This is for a number of reasons.  Mainly, as chief geek, I’ve not been too geeky of late.  Resolving personal issues and running a startup sometimes doesn’t go too well hand in hand.   Clearly for all those who care, this is not an excuse.   Rather, it’s a realization I’ve made about why I am being less productive.

We’ll be back shortly with regularly scheduled programming.  Let’s just say that for the time being, we are on a commercial break.

Alex, Chief Geek on Pause

Well, it’s Christmas Day and those of us who are not busy celebrating spent today like any other:  Working our posteriors off.  The result?  A brand new Shockapps web site.  It’s better than a lump of coal, but not by much.
